Garden Update

Here is Sophie under our tallest sunflower. It is about 10 feet tall and has a flower head on it. We will have sunflowers for the harvest! All of the others are going to bloom too. I am so happy. I have missed growing sunflowers since moving to the city. This is the first time they have done so well.

The other picture is from the front herb garden. This beautiful 'flying flower' seemed to really love the marigolds and spearmint that were blooming. Gorgeous!

Your sunflower plants look great! You'll have to take a picture of the blooms too. On our way to a state park that we go swimming at, there is a whole entire field planted with sunflowers that are in bloom! It is lovely. We don't have enough sun for sunflowers in our yard- well we do, but food has to take priority. Bummer!

I will do that. I have one that bloomed for Lammas. There are going to more though. So exciting.

Lovely! I have only a few sunflowers this year - the goldfinches love them and they hide the electric/gas boxes well! :) One is so tall I can see it out of my window right now (our side windows are 6 feet off the ground).
