I love this poster written by Luther Burbank. This past week I have been doing a lot of thinking about the kind of spiritual education that I want Sophie to have. She is becoming quite the little herbalist already. Last week I found her on the steps by the herb garden putting a crushed up Plantain leaf on a bug bite that she had. She talks to the plants and to Mother Earth, and more importantly, Mother Earth talks to her. It is delightful to me to watch her learn so quickly and easily the many lessons of the Earth that it took me years to learn. It is truly a blessing. Give your children an extra hug today and remember the magic of childhood~ I know I am.

What a wonderful poster! I may have to find this for our kitchen. hehe, I tried to convince biggie to put banana peel on a wart and she refuses, with a big laugh! oh well, on the other hand, my girls save snails and name them, so I won't be too worried. :-)
