
Well, I have to admit I have been cheating on my vegan eating. Not too much mind, but enough for me to notice the difference in how I feel. I have eaten a few baked goods that had milk and/or egg in them. I also shared David's birthday carrot cake, which Sophie made all by herself for him. It is a small thing to do, have something with a negligible amount of animal product in it. I do not feel guilty or bad for doing it, especially since my veganism was not instigated for animal rights reasons, but for health reasons. But when I eat something with more than a negligible amount of animal product I can tell. I feel heavy and almost sick. Normally, eating vegan, I feel light and energetic. It's a great feeling. I am going to rethink my lackadaisical attitude toward vegan cheating and try harder to maintain the vegan diet.
