This is a poem that my daughter, Laura was inspired to write last night. I think its wonderful and wanted to share it.
Touching Sunsets
Rainbows protrude from her blues and grays.
A mist of butterfly dust hovers onto her naked body.
Her hair blows like a wind, or like waves from an angry sea.
She whispers as she walks, of a blessings to the Earth.
For all creatures to be happy, without fear, protected and blessed in lives to come.
Rose petals rest on her shoulders as warm as the first mornings rays of sun.
She kisses the sky with her honey dew lips as she tells the moon goodnight.
The scarves in her hands float like clouds, symbolizing Mother Earth and the life She brings.
A maiden of the forest. A child of the sea. A mother of the mountains and a crone of things to be. The owls dance to a tune, her eyes seem to sing as she stares up into the stars and says,
Blessed Be.
