Summertime Swinging
Yesterday David spent a couple of hours putting up this swing for Sophie. It is around 30 feet up in the sycamore tree by our house. Needless to say she loves it, as do we all. it is a wonderful feeling of floating as you swing back and forth. Swinging was my favorite pastime as a child. I envision it having carved names and pictures on the seat as the years pass. I couldn't resist writing Sophie's name on the seat with colored pencil. :)

sigh. I would give anything for such a swiing. Unfortunately, the trees around are house have very few limbs. We've searched and searched.
one more comment--maybe we could find a limb 30' up. How did you get the rope up there?

David hoisted it on a weighted rope. Then pulled it up and tied it through the other. It was not an easy job, but turned out great and has been a huge hit with the kids and I even love to sit in it. Its very meditative. Good luck everyone should have one.
