A Successful TV Turn Off Week

We have had a great week without television.
(We tried out our new croquet game, but Sophie decided that the balls made great eggs and decided to sit on them. )
Though Sophie did have an initial melt down
over not watching after breakfast on Monday, she has taken it in stride ever since.
(Sophie has been enjoying her new swing very much)
The boys have also done very well, using their TV free time very nicely, as these photos demonstrate. I have not missed TV at all, of course, I never watched much anyway, and David has watched a little in his own space, with no children present. The computer, on the other hand, I admit I did not give up, though I did limit myself to a few minutes in the morn and in the evening after the children went to bed. We all spent a lot of time, most of our time, out side and it has been so refreshing that I am thinking of extending it, or at the very least we will be limiting TV to a much lesser time period. I am so glad that we participated this year. Its been a great experience.
